Our toolkit "The World and Me"

More than a school trip: a transformative experience

Offer your students more than a simple trip: give them an experience that begins well before they set off and keeps giving after they return.

“The World and Me” is a free toolkit that helps youth learn more about themselves, discover their place in the world and find meaning in their adventures.

It includes:

1 teacher’s guide
1 travel journal
3 video capsules

Through simple, engaging activities, students develop skills they can use all their lives.

The content of the program

Teacher’s Guide

A practical guide to help you incorporate times to brainstorm and chat, before during and after the trip. Each activity is designed to spark curiosity and enrich the experience.

A printable notebook where students can note their impressions, take on challenges and keep track of what they discover – about the world and themselves.

Video Capsules

Short, inspiring videos that present the program’s challenges, make them easier to understand and bring them to life. They offer ideas to start discussions and encourage reflection.

Please note that this content is intended for Grade 5 and 6 students and is currently available in French only.

We are currently accepting funding applications

Give your class the opportunity to experience a school trip thanks to up to $10,000 in funding

Selection criteria

Grade 5 or 6 elementary school class
Public school located in Quebec
Socioeconomic deprivation index (IMSE) of 8, 9 or 10 (based on data from the MEQ)
School trip planned for the spring of 2027
Stay at a hostel belonging to the Saintlo Collective
Written support from the school administration

We offer up to $10,000 per class and a maximum of $455 per participant, depending on the destination, length of stay and planned activities.

Choose a destination and experience that is right for your class.

2. check your eligibility

Make sure that your class and project meet the program requirements.

3. Prepare your application

Complete the application form and obtain a letter of support from your school administration.

4. Submit your application by November 30, 2026

The Foundation will communicate its decision by December 31, 2026, at the latest.
